Bright Full Moon Westward Ho!

An early morning walk, the first after the hour roll back, caught me staring at this full moon. It shone like the sun, well actually more like a rather large LED flashlight. It led to inspiration. It led to my sharing that inspiration with you.

Love it, hate it - it still is here. Leave a comment if blogger lets you and let me know what you think of it.

Here is the poem again in case it's hard to read the photo on your device:

moon floats over roofs
bright globe low on horizon
night's spotlight fading

Tree 4 - a nature haiku

orange blooms burst out
Geiger tree flower clusters
hummingbird feeders

Once upon a time I worked for a company who needed to re-do their landscaping. These Florida natural trees were chosen to enhance the grounds. They put out some very bright orange flowers with a nice shape.

Later the flowers would develop into white fruit which fell and littered the grounds everywhere. Not so nice but who knew.

I liked the flowers so I took a photo and wrote the above haiku.

ps: The Geiger tree is supposedly a native of the Keys (like in Key West).

Driving 2 - an urban haiku

mist falls, obscures all,

invisible cars rush by,

foggy morning scare

Went out the other morning when this car without the lights on went by. I didn't see the car until it zipped by me. The fog was so thick it was hard to see cars with headlights on, they were just a light blur coming down the road. No lights equaled no view.

Driving – an urban haiku

speeding down the lanes

change – left to right, right to left

auto remodel

Inspired by watching this guy in an SUV zip by us, weaving his way past the cars in the road. A few miles later he was on the side of the road with his car a bit smashed up. Seems he went to far to the right while cutting across the lanes and ended up smacking into a road side fence. Poor car!
